Host Ariana Reinhart welcomes Madi Kinley to Reclaiming Me, sharing how they met through a facilitator program and introducing Madi’s nature-based, travel-filled path, including dive master work on the Great Barrier Reef, planting over a million trees, and offering meditative journeys, cacao ceremonies, ecstatic dance, and nature immersion.

Madi discusses feeling most at home in nature, growing up in Nova Scotia with a strong connection to the elements, and a manta ray encounter in Australia that confirmed she should leave a job.

She describes moving through addiction into sobriety as a way to become a clearer vessel for helping others, early spiritual experiences with energy work and astral projection, using psychedelics intentionally for belief rewiring, and ecstatic dance as a sober bridge to embodied freedom.

The conversation also covers sacred geometry art, D-codes work (caitlindiana.com), blending physical foundations with energetics, trusting intuition, and grounding in nature; Madi shares upcoming Meditation Mondays, potential in-person circles in Canmore, and a September retreat with Ariana.

Hello, lovely listeners and welcome back to Reclaiming Me. Today we are having a chat with the beautiful Madi Kinley, and I am so excited for it. It's gonna be a great discussion, and I can't wait for you guys to hear what she has to say and share or have her share her journey with us. And by the way, if you can't wait to hear more from this podcast, hit the follow button or share your thoughts with me on Instagram at Balanced Soul Awakening. It truly inspires me to hear your stories and your aha moments. Now it's time to grab your favorite drink. Settle in and let's get started. You are not too much. You are not too sensitive. You are not too late. Welcome to Reclaiming Me, the podcast for the woman who's ready to stop shrinking and start coming home to herself. Whether you're driving home from another long shift, walking your dog under a quiet sky, or trying to outrun that voice that says You're not enough, this space is for you. I'm your host, Ariana Reinhart, speaker, coach, and your guide on this journey of undoing the noise, shedding the pressure, and rising into who you are always meant to be. The show explores what it really means to heal from toxic patterns, rebuild your confidence, and reclaim the love and life you actually deserve. Here we talk self-worth, healing, boundaries, power, and the sacred process of becoming because you were never meant to fit in. You're on the journey back to who you were before the world told you who to be. This is your invitation. Let's begin. Okay, so I met Madi through the Evolutionary Alchemy and Transformational Journey facilitator program that I'm currently in, and we connected pretty quickly. She is an amazing kind soul, and I am incredibly grateful that we crossed paths. Madi initially intended on working in medicine, but she found that she preferred working outdoors, cultivating a relationship with nature. She now travels the world. She has a dive master certification, which allowed her to work on the Great Barrier Reef for several years, I believe. She's planted over a million trees, which is incredible, and she's also a decodes practitioner. She continues to co-create and grid weave with Gaia and the element. And she navigates altered states of consciousness and the impact the arts can have on the human condition. Her mission is to create a safe space, to invite deep exploration of self and to help people remember their radiant authenticity through meditative journeys, ecstatic dance, cacao ceremonies, and nature immersion. So, hi Madi. Thank you so much for being here today. I am so excited to ask you.

Speaker 2

Hello, Ariana. Thank you so much for having me. This is, uh, feels like a gift, so thank you.

Speaker

Aww. I love that. And Madi saw, um. Deer, I think right outside her house, right before we jumped on this call, which, um, I don't entirely know the significance for her, but deer are one of my spirit animals and my, uh, late uncle comes to me in deer as well. So that was kind of just a cool, fun little surprise.

Speaker 2

Yeah, a little coincidence.

Speaker

All right. So Madi, before we get started, I just like to have a little fun here. Um, and I ask this question to all of my guests on the podcast, so I am curious if based on your personality, if you could be any drink in the world, what would it be and why?

Speaker 2

All right, so I think there's two. First one that comes to my mind would be water. Um, just'cause it's my favorite. Um, I think because, um, usually I like to be in that flow state and just go with things. And, uh, water also reminds me when I settle in, the waters get clear and I better move forward and understand my experience from that place. Um, yeah. And my other one has to be cacao. Um, it's just such a, I don't know, grounding, heart-centered, uh, thing for me. A way I like to operate and yeah, it's just, yeah.

Speaker

That's awesome. I very much associate you with water. Like anytime we've done sessions together. Yes. You are very much a water. I'm curious, do you like actually like the taste of cacao? Yeah,

Speaker 2

I love it. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker

I don't think I've ever actually tried it before, but a lot of people do not actually like the taste of it, but they know that it's like really good for you and can do some amazing things, so.

Speaker 2

Mm. Yeah. I start, when I first started exploring it, I would put a little maple syrup, some cayenne and cinnamon. Then I dabbled with a little bit of coconut milk and now I just have it with water and it's perfect.

Speaker

Awesome. Maybe I'll have to

Speaker 2

try

Speaker

it.

Speaker 2

Mm. I recommend it.

Speaker

Interactions. I'll probably end up trying.

Speaker 2

If you feel like it,

Speaker

I'm totally open to it. I just have never really like had the opportunity, so

Speaker 2

just picture like pure dark chocolate in a beverage.

Speaker

Okay.

Speaker 2

Beverage form.

Speaker

Awesome. Okay, so in the next question I'm gonna ask you is, what is one thing that you wish people knew about you?

Speaker 2

One thing. Okay. Um, oh, uh, one thing I wish people knew about me is I feel what you probably learn more about is the interview goes on, is that I feel most at home when I am connected to nature. Being around cities, buildings, even under roots is just. It doesn't feel as authentic and aligned for me when I'm in the trees. When I have my feet on the ground, that is where I feel like I shine the most.

Speaker

Yeah, I could definitely see that. I like it. Awesome. Okay. And so I know that you've traveled a lot and lived in many different places, but you grew up on the east coast of Canada, right?

Speaker 2

Mm-hmm. Yeah. Nova Scotia.

Speaker

Okay. Yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker

So how do you think growing up there affected the person that you became?

Speaker 2

I think, um, growing up in Nova Scotia really helped me develop that love of nature and the different elements, um, especially that big connection to water. As soon as summer came around and I could get in the ocean. It was hard time getting me out. I would get my goggles and I'd swim down and just sort of navigate the, like, go as deep as I could and just cruise around the ocean floor. Always trying to find little critters and just, yeah, exploring When it was too cold I wanted to be in the trees. Just just outside. That was a big part of my upbringing too. It was, we weren't allowed really video games or any sort of that stuff. It was go outside.

Speaker

Yes.

Speaker 2

So I think that was a big part of who I am because it's just sort of, I don't know, play was being outside, having fun, you know, exploring just, I don't that love of nature.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

I think was really cultivated there.

Speaker

Yeah, we used to love, my grandparents owned an acreage and we used to love climbing through the trees and everything. And there's a place Oh

Speaker 2

yeah.

Speaker

That had like the twisted trees and Yeah,

Speaker 2

yeah, yeah. We would, there's some apple trees, um, at the cottage where we'd spend part of our summers and we'd always be climbing them. So fun.

Speaker

I don't know how I didn't end up with more broken bones as a kid on it.

Speaker 2

Yeah, same. Same.

Speaker

Um, and what was I gonna say? I just, oh, so for anyone who doesn't know, like I know what they are, but can you explain, when you talk about the elements, how much elements are you talking about?

Speaker 2

Elements. Oh, okay. So I'm talking about earth, air, water, fire. Just like, yes, the elements in that sense, not the periodic table. Chemistry is not my forte. Um, but yeah. Yeah. Cultivating, um, a love of those element, well, like working with those elements and just dancing and playing alongside them.

Speaker

Awesome. They are so much fun to play with, honestly.

Speaker 2

Oh yeah.

Speaker

Great. Talking of. Alright, so, and we've already talked about you're someone who's very connected to nature. You love to travel, you work all around the world. So can you kind of explain that journey and like what led you into that lifestyle?

Speaker 2

Hmm. Um, I think when I was young I was always wanting to explore like. There's a new trail this way. Like where is it gonna take me? Especially, um, with the dogs I've had in my life, it was always okay, which like they would find a new trail, they'd come back and see me, okay, let's go explore this. Let's go explore that. And just connecting with different types of landscapes as well. And just, um, I don't know, especially with tree planting. Mm-hmm. Um, it's helped me cover a lot of ground and yeah, just I would catch myself planting and just be so enamored at just a, a, a plant or a bug and I would just spend time with it and just be so amazed that this little beautiful thing is on this planet. Um, so just, yeah, a thirst to explore. It's been a really big thing for me, but also anchoring into different locations to really learn more about the treasures in that space. Not moving through a space too quickly, really connecting with it, understanding the energy and

Speaker

mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

Seeing how I like to move with it.

Speaker

That's beautiful. Trees always like, they just amaze me what they can do and like how they can grow through almost anything. And they're so resilient. They have so much wisdom, like, oh

Speaker 2

yeah,

Speaker

they just blow my mind.

Speaker 2

Yeah, same. They're just, uh, just get my breath gets taken away sometimes by a tree.

Speaker

So I'm curious, you talk a lot about like the forest and then water. Do you have one that you're like kind of more drawn to typically like, or do you find that you're more drawn to? Certain environments in different seasons.

Speaker 2

That's interesting. Um, I think it's a blend of both. Um, this is the first, um, time in about seven years that I've experienced all four seasons again.'cause I was living in the tropics for so long.

Speaker

Yes.

Speaker 2

And I have a new appreciation for the changing of seasons now. Just going outside and seeing little bugs start to come out. Like new things, grass starting to poke through, like disciples of life.

Speaker 3

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

I'm, I'm having a, a greater appreciation for, I think I was in a, a summer season for so long that experiencing all four again is, I don't know, awakened a different appreciation and, um. Yeah, I got sidetracked there.

Speaker

All good. What, what's coming through is what, what?

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker

Alright. So when I was showing you,'cause I, for anyone who doesn't know, I recently went to Maui, Hawaii.

Speaker 3

Oh yeah.

Speaker

I had the most incredible vacation there. Like, I literally wanted to move there. Um, and I accidentally left a little piece of myself there and my coach was like, you need to call her back. Um, so when I showed you my tattoo of the manta rays, which I guess we do have, for those that have the video here, I can kinda show you. So I've got the three little so

Speaker 2

beautiful

Speaker

manta rays there. Um, and so for me those represent like grace and freedom and adaptability. And I just think they're so cool, these magnificent creatures. And so you told me that you had a cool story to share with me about your experience with Amant and we haven't actually gotten to that yet. So curious if you're willing to share it with

Speaker 2

Yeah, sure.

Speaker

And with me today?

Speaker 2

Yeah. Yeah. So, um, a few years ago, back when I was in Australia, um, things at the, where I was working were sort of going south and I was sort of questioning whether or not I should leave. And I had never seen a man in my life. And we were sort of getting into Manta season, but no one had really seen any yet.

Speaker 3

Okay.

Speaker 2

So like, we should have seen them by then. But on the drive to work, I just said, Hey universe. Um. What would it take to see a man Ray today, to know if I need to leave this job? So later on, uh, in that day, I'm swimming and all of a sudden I hear the words like someone sees a man Ray from the beach. So I look up, I look back down in the water and it's swimming directly towards me.

Speaker 3

Oh.

Speaker 2

And as soon as it get close, it just goes right around me. And I was like, damnit, universe, sorry. I need to start listening. Like, and it was just like, how much in my face could it get? You know? And yeah, that was my first experience with the Manter ray and Wow, just the timing of it was just, I still get little goosebumps thinking about it. And yeah, that's my Manter Ray story.

Speaker

That's so cool. So it was telling you to leave?

Speaker 2

Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah, definitely. And I did leave and I started working on another boat that was absolutely amazing and I ended up seeing a few more mantas with Ben. Yeah.

Speaker

That I love when like the universe brings us, you know, these fantastic, amazing gifts that we ask for. And just like the interactions with the animals and everything that's similar to like my sea turtle story. Mm-hmm. It's just, ugh, it just brings me so much joy. Like I feel like a little kid when it comes to that kind of stuff.'cause it's just, yeah. I dunno. It's incredible.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Yeah. And just a little side note, as I was leaving, like beginning, like to realize I was having to leave Australia within the last few months. I'm seeing certain animals that I'd wanted to see in the whole six years I was there.

Speaker

Oh, wow.

Speaker 2

And it was like the country, the, the, the flora, the fauna that was there was like giving me their goodbye. And it was, I reflect on it every once in a while and it was just, yeah.

Speaker

Cool. Yeah, everything definitely happens in divine timing and I fully believe that.

Speaker 2

Yes. Oh yeah.

Speaker

Cool. Okay. So I wanna change the trajectory a little. I understand that you've been on a journey through addiction. Um, so, and that allowed you to start to explore your spirituality. Um, so can you tell us a little bit more about that journey?

Speaker 2

Yeah. So, um, for a long time I think addiction was my way to bypass escape. Any sort of pain, any sort of things that I did not wanna deal with and just bury. And through my spiritual journey, I found that that is not the way through. If I want to help people, I wanna support people, I have the tools or I have the potential to do that for myself, and I don't need something outside of me to dictate that journey.

Speaker 3

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

And, um, yeah, I, I think addiction brought me to that place. I'm a firm believer now in that everything happens for me, not to me.

Speaker

Right.

Speaker 2

Um, and I, I have a lot of gratitude for it now and. It created, it opened so many doors for me and so many new possibilities that maybe when I was in the thick of it, everything was too blurry to see. But when I started to understand and get excited for clarity

Speaker

mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

It, yeah, the, the potential is almo almost limitless.

Speaker

That's so cool. That's like, yeah. I used to work at a rehab center and that is very frequently, like why people end up getting into drugs is to escape that pain and to escape reality to, you know, escape like just their circumstances. And I mean, some of them are kind of like forced into it as well in a way, but yeah. Um, that is unfortunately why a lot of people turn to drugs and alcohol and, um. I just working there really made me appreciate addiction and alcoholism and everything. I feel like that's something that the public is kind of like ignorant to a lot. You know? There's a lot of people that are just like

Speaker 2

confusion about it.

Speaker

Yeah. Mm-hmm. And so, yeah, it's, I actually met a lot of incredible people working that job and the stories that were told to me and everything, and just seeing people like go from being in their addiction and hating themselves and the things that they did to being able to get clean and just like it was night and day and they were just like, it was so incredible to see just like how, how they were able to change their life and when they realized what their life could actually look like.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker

Yeah,

Speaker 2

yeah. Exactly. And a, a big thing for me was I've always known I wanted to help and support people. And I had the realization like, I can't do that to my full potential if I'm not clear.

Speaker

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

And it's not an integrity. So my big, when I discovered my why, it was if I want, yeah. Helping people, I need to be a clear vessel so I can hold the best space with the least amount of distortion and just be fully present. And yeah, it was, I got excited about being sober. It wasn't something I needed to fear, it was something I was so excited to learn more about and learn more about myself as sober. Like, who am I? You know, it was something I, I didn't know. So it was. Yeah, I just felt that momentum and yeah.

Speaker

So what was kind of the first, like on your spiritual journey, what was kind of the first thing that you experienced?

Speaker 2

First thing I experienced, Hmm. Well, I would say it started when I was quite young. Okay. Um, there was a few key stages that happened. I remember when I was young, I had, um, knee problems. Uh, and I remember having this realization one day that I, what if I tried just sending my awareness to my knee, sending love, breathing in positive energy and exhaling any ick. And I would just play with this using the blood and I would, you know, put my hands in certain areas and just practice moving energy in my body. I didn't know that was like a thing that people moved energy or did any of that sort of stuff. Later on I learned about Reiki and I was like,

Speaker 3

oh,

Speaker 2

okay, this might be, you know, connected to what I was doing. Like, this is so cool. Um, and then another big moment for me was when I was traveling Asia and I went to a sound healing slash breathwork, which I had never really done before, and I fully blasted out of my body.

Speaker

Oh,

Speaker 2

wow. And I didn't know, yeah. I didn't know what astro projection was. And all of a sudden I was floating above myself, looking down at my body and I was, what is happening? And I could hear people crying and screaming also in this cer like in this space. So I remember going and like trying to, you know, support them in my astro body. And then in my physical body, I could feel them relaxing. I could hear them. And then at the end I was like, okay, I'm just gonna try and lie down in my body and just try and get back. So I did that landed, but that, that was a big turning point for me as well. I had no idea that was the thing. And just little moments like that, I'd always sort of been aware of, like spirits, aliens always intrigued me when I was young. Um, but yeah, those were two big, sort of moments early.

Speaker

Cool. I had a few instances where I had like, um, out of body experiences too. Mm. And, but they were like, I woke up from my sleep because I, I astral travel a lot in my sleep, like a lot. Mm. And, um, yeah. Yeah. I. Woke up and I remember like I was at my mom's house the one time and um, I was walking around the room, physically walking around the room, but my soul was in a past life with my sister and we were in Thailand and we had been like, captured and we were being held hostage in this like dungeon. And so I'm like walking around the room and to me it looks like, it's like all barred up and everything. And it's like this basement dungeon thing. And I'm like calling out to my sister and trying to find her and everything. And it was just like the scariest freakiest thing.'cause I had no idea what was going on and then I, and I couldn't find the door. I remember that too. And so I'm like walking around the room, I'm trying to find the door. And then when I finally found it, I like, obviously like it must have been just the touching, the middle of the handle or something like that brought me back and I like opened the door. Walked outta the room, went to the bathroom, came back in and went back to sleep. But it was like the freakiest thing ever, like,

Speaker 2

yeah. Oh, I can imagine.

Speaker

And it was like I'm, it felt like I was conscious.

Speaker 2

Mm-hmm.

Speaker

But like that room, my mom's room in her house looked like this dungeon that I was being

Speaker 2

mm-hmm.

Speaker

Hostage in.

Speaker 2

Yeah,

Speaker

it was. Yeah, it was,

Speaker 2

yeah. Jarring to say the least.

Speaker

But it's so interesting how like I just, I guess, instinctively knew how to come back to my body, and then I was just fine after that. Like, I didn't have any like fear or anything like that after going back to sleep and stuff. But it was just in the moment though, I remember being like, oh my God, this is so scary. What the hell is going on? Like, you know.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Yeah. Oh, I can't imagine. At least I was in the room where like my body was.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

But still like that. Okay. What, what the fuck is happening? Yeah.

Speaker

Yeah. It's weird. It's, yeah, it's a whole, whole other ball game, that kind of stuff.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. And I think learning how to do it safely, if you're gonna explore that, I think is,

Speaker

yes. Super important.

Speaker 2

Super important. Yeah. Yay.

Speaker

Alright. So I know you also work with psychedelics to rewire the brain. Um, so how did you find the balance of like, maintaining your sobriety but also incorporating psychedelics into like your work and your life?

Speaker 2

Hmm. So I don't really work with them as much now.

Speaker

Okay.

Speaker 2

Um, if I do, it's very intentional and just like more prep work I do going into it. Um, but when I first started going into sobriety, um, I, when I would be using psychedelics, I would make sure I'd be running the thought patterns anywhere and everywhere I think I need, so weed was the one I had the biggest attachment to. Anywhere and everywhere. I think I need weed. I destroy and created for all times space realities and dimensions. I would really anchor in that thought pattern anytime I was using psychedelics. Anytime I would notice a thought pattern that would surface, that wasn't surfing, serving me, I would rewire and really anchor it in, in those states. You know, just use being under the influence

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 2

As a sort of tool to really Yeah. Rewire those neurons into pathways that aren't, you know, diminishing, like, not working for me.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

And where I wanna go and how I wanna treat myself.

Speaker

Cool. Okay. So you kind of were like, you were doing belief or patterning?

Speaker 2

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker

Okay.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Yeah. Using those states. So anytime, like really anchoring in those, usually I, I would have something down in my notebook and so I would go through them or if they came to me, any sort of thought pattern, um, anything that just was sort of death programming, limiting beliefs. Okay. Opportunity to rewire.

Speaker

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

Hmm.

Speaker

Awesome. Okay. And then you also told me that movement and like ecstatic dance has been a part of your journey. So is there like any kind of link between psychedelics and this path for you?

Speaker 2

Yes, definitely. Um, so in Australia there's something called Bush does, which are basically a bush duff. So you're out in the bush and the speakers go DDD, that's where the name comes from. So basically it's a rave in the forest. Mm. Um, where it's, to me and how I experienced them was a very healing and powerful, um, journey and just place to be. Um, people are. So accepting and, you know, just a big family at these events. Like you can be dancing, doing whatever you want. People are, are on all sorts of different substances, but

Speaker

mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

People are taking care of each other.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

And it's really a judgment free zone. Yes. There's a lot of unconsciousness going on with, you know, the substance people are on, but it was a, a way that I could reconnect with my body with using psychedelics and then ecstatic dance led me to go into those movement practices without anything. So it was a nice bridge point, you know, the psychedelics, um, yeah, were a, a tool I use to help explore my body and how it, how it can move, how my energy like to move.

Speaker

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

Um, and then. Explore that in a sober state. I always had a hard, hard time growing up, really expressing myself, let's sit on the dance floor if I wasn't under the influence of something,

Speaker

which I feel like a lot of people,

Speaker 2

yeah. Yeah. So ecstatic dance was that bridge. Cool. It was a place, so when I, where I was going to them, it was no phones, no talking, no drugs or alcohol, just a freeform dance floor. The music starts, you know, more meditative, builds you up, peaks and drops back down. And it's just a really nice meditative practice that really you can connect deeply with your body. And I'll never forget the first time I went with my partner, I look at him, I'm like, I feel like I'm on psychedelics right now. No, but it was just like the pure like euphoria.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Of just. Being so deeply connected to the body and the music and uninhibited. Mm-hmm. And just a celebration of movement and, uh, cool. Yeah. I, I hope anybody who listens to this, who hasn't tried it, feels inspired to do it, that this would be the invitation. Find a local ecstatic dance, or do it in your living room. Just practice moving your body and the energy.

Speaker

Yeah. And there's a lot of, it has to do with the intention behind it.

Speaker 2

Mm-hmm.

Speaker

Well,

Speaker 2

yeah, I would always go with my journal and my cards and I would set an intention before each dance, um, and just, you know, sit with myself, sit with my body, and then really connect to it, connect to the earth my source, and then move into the experience.

Speaker

That's so cool. I know we've done a bit of like dance and everything through, um,

Speaker 2

Casey's

Speaker

well, yeah. Journey facilitator and mm-hmm. Yeah. There's been times where it's just like, I don't know, it's when you just let yourself dance and move and you don't think about it, you don't put restrictions, you're not worried about like, oh my God, is someone gonna see me? Anything? And you just let your body move it, like, incredible. It, like, you can't even explain

Speaker 2

mm-hmm.

Speaker

The type of feeling that it gives you.

Speaker 2

Yeah. And like emotions, energy and motion.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

If you're working through something that's really, you know, emotionally heavy or sticky. What happens if you let your body move with it?

Speaker 3

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

You know, and just explore like, okay, like my arm's feeling really heavy. What if I just do some sort of strange thing? And what hap how does it feel after that?

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 2

You know, and just, yeah. Playing with how the body wants to move instead of like the rigid structures we find ourselves in.

Speaker

Yes.

Speaker 2

Society's sort of acceptance of certain movements. What if we just let that fall away and just flail around? It's, it's fun.

Speaker

Its fun. I still remember, it's so funny'cause like I took dance when I was a kid and then I was a figure skater for some, quite some time. Mm-hmm. And um, I always, as a kid, I always wanted to do hip hop. Like that was like the thing that I really wanted to do. But when I was in dance, you had to do ballet. And I hated ballet as a kid, like hated it. Then when I started doing ecstatic dance, my soul likes to dance like a ballerina a lot of the time.

Speaker 2

I love that. It's so funny. So for me, I used to be in dance when I was a kid, and then as soon as I started playing, I was very much a sports person as well.

Speaker 3

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

And I loved dance, but I was like, okay, this is what I feel like people expect me to do is to do sports. So I left the dance and moved into more sports, which I, I love, but it was something I pushed aside because I thought it wasn't as accepted, if that makes sense. Yeah. So reconnecting to that part of me that just loves to move and just hold that space for my body. Is, Ugh, it's so juicy.

Speaker

I love that. I am definitely like opening up to, yeah, just like there's things that I'm noticing now that I'm, like, literally five months ago, I would've never done that out in public or like I would've, you know, had these, even with, um, with my partner, like I'll be, when I first started working with Casey and stuff, if he would come out, I would just like stop what I was doing. Like I'd be doing like language or something with my friends and I'd just felt like, and now I'm just like, uh, what a flow. It's. Mm-hmm. It's gonna like, I, I don't care anymore. You know, and I'm starting noticing too, like I'm, I do my prep the field sometimes when I'm driving and stuff, and I'll be like pushing my energetic or field and everything out in the car and like doing all my stuff and red light and everything. And I'm like, whatever. I don't care if people are staring at me. It's,

Speaker 2

oh yeah.

Speaker

And it's so,

Speaker 2

yeah. It's super free.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah. And I think that's one thing, like with partnership, you know, is like finding that person that like celebrates that authenticity and like that your expression of yourself, the crazy, the silly, you know, the heavy and just like celebrates all of it.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 2

And yeah. Yeah. My partner's very much along the ride for the journey. Sometimes I'll be talking, he just doesn't get it and that's fine. But I'll notice as I'm going through this journey, he's picking up in his own ways, you know? And one time I remember talking to him about light language. He was like, let's just, let's play with this. You know, I'm gonna say something to you and light language and just see what happens. And then he, he started speaking light language and at first he was didn't, and then he didn't really believe what was happening. And then his face shifted as he was saying it. Like, like, these words are coming out and it's such a beautiful experience, you know? It's like, yes.

Speaker

Love that.

Speaker 2

It's like this switch. Whoa.

Speaker

It's

Speaker 2

so good.

Speaker

A, it, it is kind of like a hard thing to wrap your head around. Like, I, on my last episode, I

Speaker 2

Okay. Listened. It was so nice.

Speaker

Thank you. Mm-hmm. Um, and yeah, like, I don't, that's like one of the first times I've shared it with people. Like that is not something that, and I don't, I do light language more with my hands a lot of the time.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker

I'll speak it every now and then, but Yeah. It's like to your conscious mind, you're just speaking gibberish, but to your soul, it is a whole language. Oh

Speaker 2

yeah. Yeah. There's so much depth.

Speaker

Yeah. I love, I love when Casey does hers and when she like sings, it's just like,

Speaker 2

yeah.

Speaker

Like I feel like I am

Speaker 2

massaging my soul,

Speaker

like just so happy.

Speaker 2

I know exactly what you mean. Yeah.

Speaker

Awesome. Yeah. I love that it's,

Speaker 2

mm-hmm.

Speaker

Yeah. This journey over this last year has opened me to so many different

Speaker 2

things. Same.

Speaker

Yeah. Cool.

Speaker 2

Same, just that practicing of the energy alignment every day.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Like I usually start my day with that and if I feel something, you know, like I'm getting pulled off, I try and just drop it. Okay. What's truth for me in the moment? Just really center and then go into what I'm is happening in my external.

Speaker

Yeah,

Speaker 2

yeah. Game changer. Yeah.

Speaker

Okay. And so then also, um, I'm wondering like is working or in the past when you've worked at psychedelics, is that also part of what opened you up to your art and to sacred geometry? I understand that you've had some pieces in galleries and play at festivals, and that your art has really accelerated your spiritual journey. So can you walk us through like kind of how you got from where you started to where you are now? Mm-hmm. Art.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Yeah. So when I was young, my art was always realism. It was really anchored in like, how, like how can I make it look exactly perfectly like this plant, like this hand, you know? Like that was what I was, was playing with. Um, and then just as I was, had a big, you know, spiritual acceleration, I started like playing with spirals and just, um, geometries, like having the center point and sort of, um, picking like a number. And, you know, using that number to create symmetries. Um, and it just accelerated really, really quickly. Um, yeah, I, it was, and then as I kept going with it, I kept navigating it. Like I would see things, um, when I was like under the influence of psychedelics. Um, and from what I remembered of them, I would call it like a skeleton of the piece. So I'd put the skeleton down. Yeah. And then I would just let my imagination go with it. Sometimes I'd use my intuition and be like, okay, whatever color I pick up next, that is the one. And then I'd be like, no, I don't know. This is the color. I'd put a line that I think is, was mistake. No, it's not a mistake, I'm gonna go with it. So I just kept playing with it. Playing with it. And I had a, a friend, um, who was really important to me at the beginning of this path and he would just really encouraged me, like, keep going with your art, really pursue this. Like, just explore what's possible when you keep going. So I did, I had the first, um, gallery and afterwards I had a massive acceleration in the art where the sacred, which she really dropped in. Oh, cool. With like a new piece dropping in every day Wow. For about a week straight. Like they'd come in, the full piece would be there in about two hours and it was. Like it was a lot. Like I ended up getting sick. Yeah. About two weeks after that. It was, uh, like my, it was just a lot of energy moving through. Um, but I kept going with the sake of geometry, kept playing, kept seeing the skeletons, and then at one point I would see the pieces and imagine them becoming three dimensional and like move my energy into the space and just, it really helped my clairvoyance activate I found. And just, I don't know, sacred geometry. I'm still trying to figure it out, why I feel so connected to it.

Speaker 3

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

Um, but I connected with a guide at one point and they were calling them sort of energy signatures and it was an aspect of self who does it wherever they're from. And they would create these signatures and beings there would move into them to like help shift frequencies. Which I feel like the art does for me as well.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

And just, yeah, playing with it and seeing where it takes me.

Speaker

So Cool. I know that we've done a, um,

Speaker 2

the Soul Signature

Speaker

Thank you Soul signature, uh, session, which that

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker

Oh my God, that one is so much. I have never done psychedelics before. Like, I've smoked weed, but like I've never done psychedelics before.

Speaker 3

Mm-hmm.

Speaker

Or anything more than that. And when I, when I did that one, I,

Speaker 3

yeah.

Speaker

Like I, my whole body was just vibrating for like, yeah. An hour and a half after I felt like I was floating in my chair. I was like, I went into like the new Lumeria and it was like home to me and it was just like fairy dust and sparkles and colors and just like. Co-creation like it was. I was like, holy shit. I, honest to God with, with psychedelics right now. And then, yeah, we, and we work with sacred geometry in that. And then we did the session with you and you were kind of, I don't know if you ever finished that drawing. You were starting a drawing. No,

Speaker 2

I started it. I, I started it. I have a thing where I'll start a piece and I'll get to a spot and then all of a sudden the new piece will come through. Mm. So it's like stepping stones and sometimes I'll go back, it's like I'll get, reach a stuck point and then I'll start something else and this, oh, okay, now I know what I need to do for this piece.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

It's like a, yeah. A jump around. But that, I don't even know how I'm gonna create the one I saw in that meditation with you, it was like, like I'll try and like remember a snippet of it.'cause it's moving, it's alive. It's. Yeah. It's, it is like psychedelics.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

It reminded me the most, um, of sort of, I've, I've tried DMTA few times and it reminded me of that space.

Speaker

Okay.

Speaker 2

But the beauty of it is you don't have to have anything in your system, you know, you can do and play in these spaces and do it safely

Speaker

Yes.

Speaker 2

In a sober state.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

And just navigate it that way. Really anchored and yeah. Yeah.

Speaker

Yeah. That's such a fun session. Oh my god.

Speaker 2

Mm-hmm. Yeah. The whales.

Speaker

Yes.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker

Whales. Yes. They were fun.

Speaker 2

Mm.

Speaker

Okay. And then, so what is something that you were surprised to learn about yourself on your spiritual journey and what makes you so passionate about the work that you do now?

Speaker 2

Mm. Um, one thing that really stood out to me on my path is, uh, a version of me knows how to heal myself and knows who I need to connect with, you know, to have these certain pieces. And if I just, um, connect with myself, connect with my intuition, like I'm gonna figure it out.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 2

And really learning to trust myself. Yeah. That has been huge for me. Like, just trusting my path, trusting my journey, and especially I'm gonna anchor in that piece again. Things don't happen to me. They happen for me.

Speaker

Yes. For you

Speaker 2

and, and hey,

Speaker

for you and through you.

Speaker 2

Exactly. Yeah. Exactly. And just that, that deep sense of gratitude, even though in some point in my life it might've been heavy. You know, there's a beauty to it. It brought me to where I am right now, and there'll be times again that maybe there's heaviness, but I know I can get through it.

Speaker

Yeah,

Speaker 2

yeah. Uh, a key visual I always remember, and it came through in a meditation. It was all about when you're sitting in chaos and it's sort of, you're sitting in the storm, but imagine gutting the bird's eye view, and it's almost like this beautiful sacred geometry. There's, there's a design to it,

Speaker 3

right?

Speaker 2

There's a pattern, there's something there, you know, but when we're in it, it's hard to see, but when we're out of it, we can see the beauty of Yeah. What it was.

Speaker

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker

Yeah. I definitely appreciate that. I've had some, some periods of my life that yes, were absolute hell to go through at the time. Um, but. Now that I've been through them, I can definitely like hold space for that gratitude and appreciate the fact that like, yeah, they've got me to where I am now and they taught me something and they also allow me to be able to help others through similar things. And I believe that's a, like,

Speaker 2

yeah,

Speaker

the reason why I went through it was to be able to help others as well.

Speaker 2

I totally agree with that. It's like those, those heavy moments sort of become our deepest medicine.

Speaker

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

And how we can hold, like really hold space for other people.

Speaker

Yes.

Speaker 2

You know?

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Not get in the stuck of the, the trauma bonding, but hold space and maybe help to be a guide in their, you know, their own remembering of how to navigate through it.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker

Love that. Do you work with your future self A lot?

Speaker 2

Yeah. Yeah. Um, yeah, I like to, um, especially like going into sort of new situations or, um, just experiences that are out of my comfort zone. You know, like, hey, future self, who's on the other side of this? Like, what would you like to share with me right now? Mm-hmm. Um, I've learned how to ski this year and at the beginning of the season I was like, version of me that knows how to ski. Let's just bring all that in right now. Like, let's start to download that right now. And like, new learning, new skills, like just bringing the, the version of me that knows

Speaker

mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

Let's bring that to the present moment and just, I like to play with it that way.

Speaker

That's awesome. Yeah. I love that kind stuff. It's uh, yeah, like you're essentially quantum leaving.

Speaker 2

Yeah, yeah. Oh yeah. And sometimes it's like when you, when you do like start to do the universe last and the quantum leaving, sometimes it's like, dammit, I have to get uncomfortable right now and I don't want to. And like that's the opportunity for the leap. It's like, do I ignore it or do I just go for it? And if I fail, doesn't matter. Failing to me now I've learned is stagnant. That's the true sense of failing, is not moving forward at all. Staying exactly where I'm at.

Speaker

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

There's no failing and trying, it's just learning another way of maybe not to do something.

Speaker

I love that quote. It's like fail stands for first attempted learning.

Speaker 2

Yeah,

Speaker

yeah,

Speaker 2

yeah. I love that. And a quote that I saw a few years ago that like. It was a massive punch to the face, which is what I needed, was what? I'm not changing, I'm choosing.

Speaker

Oh yes.

Speaker 2

And it was like, oh, damn it, okay. What am I choosing that isn't actually working for me, that I actually want to change, you know? Yeah. And

Speaker

yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Sometimes that's trying and failing and bouncing back.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

And doing it all over again.

Speaker

Yeah. Stay. A lot of people don't sit there and pay attention to that, that like staying where you are or not making a choice is making a choice.

Speaker 2

Exactly.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah. And I think that was addiction for a long time for me was that was the comfort, you know? But my north node luckily is conjunct my Pluto so that I'm uncomfortable that transformation and it's in Scorpio, so it's like, just do it. So that's, start playing with that more and more welcoming that in.

Speaker

Yeah, that's the journey I'm on right now, Taylor. It's like, you're scared, shit, let's do this. Do it anyway.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker

If I,'cause I know that most of that is coming from ego, right? Mm-hmm. Like when I tune into my soul, it feels expansive. Even like this mm-hmm. Conference, like mm-hmm. My ego is freaking out losing its shit. I'm like, I to leave in three days and I don't feel prepared, and oh my god, like this until time to back out and you know, like all of that. And, but it's like, I'm at the point now where. Those thoughts are just fleeting thoughts. Mm-hmm. Um, but when I like tune in and there's been so many experiences that have shown me that this is aligned. I don't know if I told you that, but, so I did a, um, sovereign code session with a, a lady and, um, so the next day I went to this like psychic fair with my sister and I barely walk in and the first booth, there's this lady, I'm like, drawn to this dragon card deck because I work, I love working with the dragons. And, um, I was like, well, this is so pretty. And this lady comes up and talks to me and she like was using the collective card for like, whatever popped out for me. Like it literally jumped out and it was a galactic dragon and everything. And she's like, well, you have a lot of like, you know, galactic in your team and everything. And she's like, you're very connected to that. Aliens. She's like, I feel like I could say that word with you. I was like, oh, yeah, I, I know.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker

And um, we literally stood there and had like a 20 minute conversation about everything. And I was then, like, it was, we've had a past life together and stuff, and she, she was like, yeah, I have this retreat and I've been thinking about doing a retreat this year and asking about some of'em. And she was like, we're gonna have some interactions. And she's like, I have an acreage that I'm turning this area into a place where I can host retreats or like where they can be hosted and all of this. And it was just like thing after thing after thing. And then I go to a couple booths down and there's a lady that I used to work with at the recovery center actually, and she does retreats and stuff. And I was like, Hey, like can I shadow you and everything? Like I'm thinking about doing some of these soon. And then there was like just all these other things. And then there was, um. I told this lady from the Sovereign codes, I was like, I, there's a book pitch like thing going on at this conference that I'm speaking at. I said, it's sitting in the back of my mind. Like I, people keep telling me that I need to write a book, but I'm at not a spot right now where like I feel like I can do it. I've got other priorities. First. I was like, but this book, um, pitch company and whatever is like sitting in the back of my mind. And um, then yeah, I like walk up to this booth and there's a calendar, a dragon calendar, and I'm like, oh my God. And it's company, it's like published or whatever by the company of that book pitch.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker

Thing.

Speaker 3

Okay.

Speaker

Yeah. And then also like the sovereign codes lady was talking about, she's like. Oh, I just,'cause we were talking about Hawaii and everything and how like, and the new Lumira and how my soul keeps calling the new Lumira and how I'm meant to like guide people into that and everything. And she's like, yeah, I just got back from a retreat in Hawaii and everything and I was like, okay. Oh my God. Like that is literally one of the main places. Like when we were in Hawaii, I was like, I am doing a retreat here. And then that first lady at that booth was like, yeah, I just got back from um, oh yeah, she's like, I just got back from a Dragon retreat in Hawaii and it was called Lumira. And I'm like, okay,

Speaker 3

come on.

Speaker

Yeah. Just like all of these things and then everything was like connecting to Portland too, and I was like, okay. Clearly like, you know, this is aligned and mm-hmm. I need to go. But there's still, yeah. Ego is sitting there being like, what are you doing? Yeah, this is new. You're putting yourself up there. Like, and I, I mean, I have the podcast, but it's still like the thought of going up and speaking in front of a bunch of people is like, uh,

Speaker 2

a different experience.

Speaker

Yes. Yeah. It'll be good, but

Speaker 2

that'll be amazing.

Speaker

Yeah. It'll,

Speaker 2

and I, I love you mentioned it, um, in one of your podcast episodes about talking to your anxiety

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

And telling it. It's not gonna run the show. And I think that's super powerful tool that people can take with them. You know, like, yes, I have an ego, it's here to protect me. But sometimes it's feeling fear that isn't actually the tiger running after you.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 2

You know? And you can dictate the, the action, the thoughts, the mindset moving forward. And yeah, that piece really stood out to me.

Speaker

Oh, that's good.

Speaker 2

Mm-hmm.

Speaker

Yeah. Yeah. I had to, uh, I'm sure I'll have to have a few more conversations with my anxiety and then I

Speaker 2

Well, and that's the thing, like these opportunities, you get that push, you feel like that pull towards them and it's, there still could be that programming in, in place that's like, don't do it, but you. The opportunity came across your path for a reason. Yeah. Like doing this podcast with you, you know, for me, I was like, oh, ooh, I don't know. I don't know. I was like, no, like I'm here to do this. I'm here to help people. I need to put myself out there.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

And when these opportunities come, go for it.

Speaker

Take them. Yeah.

Speaker 2

Mm-hmm.

Speaker

Yeah. I also have a mentor that she often says that, like, I can't remember exactly how she says it, but something along the lines of that sometimes what we perceive is fear as fear is actually excitement. Mm. Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Yeah. I like that a lot.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah. And even like, I had a, a moment the other day where it was like even asking like a question or something like I. And am I prepared for the answer? You know, like, am I so invested into one answer that I can't be accepting of the opposite? Mm-hmm. You know, like, where is this, where am I looking for validation here? Yeah. And it's like, okay, what if I am the inter, like internally generate my own validation? How much power do I give myself when I do that? Yeah. Instead of outsourcing it the, when I was connecting to my higher, higher self, which it was like when, uh, when you're looking for like a validation and you're getting it from your external, like where's the source of power coming from?

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

And it was like, well, shit. That's not how I wanna operate. You know, like I don't need that sort of external telling me what I want to know or what, what I validate my experience. Yeah. You know, it's like I can do that myself and yeah. It just feels so much better that way. Yes. Not to say it's not nice to, you know, talk to people about these things, but not relying on it as your source of truth.

Speaker

Yes. Yeah. Okay. So then I also wanted to explore a little bit. So you are a certified decodes practitioner. Um, you work with the ICS with emotional release and the foundations of health. Mm-hmm. So I've actually never heard of this before. First, can you tell me what a decodes practitioner.

Speaker 2

Hmm. So to me, um, decodes prac, like the practitioner or the Decodes program to me is sort of blending the physical and the energetic, not outweighing one to the other. That there, there's a balance that needs to happen. So the foundations in health, you know, focusing on like your food, like your nutrition, your sleep, your movement, your sunlight, like all of these things, and then bringing it into the, with the energetic sort of that marriage between them, that healing isn't purely energetic and it isn't purely physical. That right. There's a balance that we can find and play with to bring the whole system back into coherence if

Speaker

Okay. Yeah.

Speaker 2

That makes sense. Yeah. Yeah. And it was cool like this, I was a big, came to me at a big, you know, part of the beginning of my journey. So it helped me sort of clear my, my system out, give me tools to help create more clarity in myself, to discover more of my spirituality, more of my energetics, if that makes sense. Mm-hmm. Because at first I was really obsessed with the human body growing up. Like, I wanted to go into medicine, like just learning about anatomy, physiology, how the body works, how it interacts with things, the, the neuroscience of everything. Like that was a what I loved, but it didn't seem like. The right pathway for me to go forward.

Speaker

Right.

Speaker 2

Uh, I remember writing my, my, my MCATs, my medical entry exams, and then realizing like, wait, I don't, I don't wanna be living in, like, working inside in a hospital like that, that doesn't feel aligned to me anymore. Like how? Well, there's something more here. And I took a class on plants and part of it was going out and collecting and pressing all of these different flowers and just really connecting to nature. And it's like, okay, there's something here. I've always been into, like aromatherapy, like how can I blend all of these things and still support myself and other people? So Decodes was a really cool system that

Speaker 3

just,

Speaker 2

yeah, created a lot of clarity. Put a lot of bridges to different pieces. Um, yeah. Yeah. Cool.

Speaker

Yeah. That's awesome. And then what else have you learned from working in this field that you think people should know?

Speaker 2

Hmm. What else have I learned? Hmm. I don't know. Um, I think play.

Speaker

Yeah,

Speaker 2

I think play is such a big aspect too. Especially going in to something new, into spirit, even spirituality, anything new. If you can bring it in and experience it in a playful state and just learn the skills and have fun with it. Mm-hmm. Before you even need to go into sort of the heavier stuff like you are already entering into. Exploring and getting curious in a state that welcomes joy as well. Yeah. I think is really important. Doesn't all need to be heavy, and it doesn't all need to be light and airy fairy either. There's a balance, but play is a, is also another bridge that I think is super important.

Speaker

Yeah. Very

Speaker 2

true. Mm-hmm.

Speaker

I find myself doing that sometimes too, where it's like, okay, all of a sudden I'm getting really serious and it's like, oh, I need to, you know, I need to ring some of that. Playing fun and just goofy

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker

To things. Yeah.'cause it's, my soul is not happy about just being.

Speaker 2

One and the other.

Speaker

Seriously, all the time. Yeah,

Speaker 2

yeah. Yeah. One thing I like to do when I'm drawing, I call it dance drawing.

Speaker

Oh.

Speaker 3

So I'll be playing music and I'm just like, grooving and dancing

Speaker 2

or like drawing at the same time. And like sometimes I'll just like totally put the pencil down and just like groove around and then I'll get back into it. And like, drawing doesn't need to be all super serious. Like, I like to get my lines right when I'm doing like, you know, the geometries. But at the same time it's like, I'm gonna have some fun with this. You know, like just, you know, get silly with it.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Mm-hmm.

Speaker

Yeah. I love that.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Um,

Speaker

I do that too with like paint pouring and stuff. Mm-hmm. You kind of feel like you can't have expectations, you just gotta let go and just let it be and

Speaker 2

go with the flow.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker

And it always turns out.

Speaker 2

Yeah. The way it's supposed to.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker

Okay. Well thank you so much for joining me today, Madi. This was a fantastic conversation. I absolutely loved it. So, as we wrap up, what is the biggest thing that you would like the listeners to take away from our conversation today?

Speaker 2

Biggest thing, like listeners take away. I don't know. Um, sorry. I gotta think, I feel like we covered so much. Um, I think takeaway is don't forget to reconnect to nature. Mm-hmm. Um, even if it's just the breath. I don't know, like really. When things feel crazy, just can you take a moment to just be with yourself? Mm-hmm. You know, I might be feeling this, but can, I can accept that this is where I'm at right now and I don't need to judge myself for it. And if you can go put your feet in some grass or even just imagine your favorite tree, like just, just take a breath and just ground in. And I think things will shift and feel a lot more smooth if you can just take that moment for yourself.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

To pause.

Speaker

I've always done that. Like anytime that I'm feeling heavy or like stressed or whatever, I always go out into nature. And I used to, um, because when I lived in Calgary a lot of the time I lived right down by the river. And so I would always just go, like, sit by the river and either meditate or I just sit there and just like allow. The water of the river should just like, bring my emotions through and allow

Speaker 2

mm-hmm.

Speaker

Flow and move. And I feel so much better afterwards.

Speaker 2

Yeah, exactly. One thing I've been like, sort of playing with recently is like, you know when you do the meditation and you send the roots down and really anchor and it's like every time I do that, I'm not anchoring new roots. So to so to speak, the roots are there, it's just my awareness of them.

Speaker

Right.

Speaker 2

I'm noticing.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2
